Hey everybody! Finally, what [some of] you have been waiting for: my first contest! I’m really excited about this and I know some of you have been anticipating it as well– some of you have even gone to such lengths as to noting me and asking me for information beforehand. (*cough* GLARE *cough*)

SO NOW LET’S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS. THE THEME FOR THIS CONTEST IS:

DUH DUH DUUUH~

I know of you are like: “’White’?!? Are you kidding me??” No, I kid you not. . . Quite a few of my friends and watchers on DA aren’t illustration artists (like myself) and I had to keep that in mind when I chose the theme. This way, every kind of artist is guaranteed a chance to participate.

So what about ‘white’?

Well, most of you know that it is NOT a colour – so I can’t exactly say I chose a colour as my theme. But white is a tint and it is used in even the most basic pictures. Think about it: most of you are starting out with white when you create your works – may it be a sheet of white paper or whatever. And if you’re like me, you use A LOT of white when painting or colouring, etc. However, to me, white is much more than a base or a highlight~ White is my inspiration most of the time: falling snow, the winter sky, purity, angel wings, lace on a simple dress, sheets and on a comfy bed, a sparkle in the night sky, the feathers of a dove, etc.

In this contest I want you to get inspired and use your own personal style to convey the theme ‘white’ any way you can. Whether you are creating a character design based on it, painting a picture of your lace curtains, snapping a shot of our feathered friends, whatever! Just have fun with it!

1. Be creative!!! There are endless possibilities.
2. Use ANYTHING. I don’t care what you use to convey your image – photographs, illustrations, paintings, collages, anything!
3. No ripping art; no stealing ideas! Please don’t make me sad.

4. Must finish by the given date.
5. Add a description – just incase what you’re trying to get across isn’t evident.
6. Note me the link to your finished product~ I’d hate to miss it!
7. Have fun!!

Instead of having you all vote on which image you’d like to win, I figured I’d just judge them myself. And there will be a surprise judge.

My little sister! She was carefully chosen due to her unique critiquing skills. But beware: 9 year olds are ruthless. A friend of mine will be involved in the assessment as well so all decisions will be fair.

1rst place is rewarded to the person who best executes the theme! Yay! If you win this, I’m sorry but I can not offer you money. XD But I can offer you 2 free commissions! Like, a full blown, holy-wow commission and another one [without a detailed background and no shading]! (o___o;; )

WHAT UP.

Lot of new stuff going on. Been working on my CGing skills lately just so I can improve and find my own style.

New things I'm in to:
#Guilty Gear - Holy-- O_O. A.B.A. is love. And so is Sol. *doodles fanarts*

#The Endless Forest: AKA the deer mmorpg. Yah, you play a DEER. Only, these deers look like Miyazaki's 'Forest Spirit'. *squeee* It's such a peaceful game~ Go download it. S'FREE.

I guess Ima draw some deers now XD

#There's this new book out by Stephanie Meyer that I reaaaally want to read . . . I'm too lazy to find the name right now ~_~

i are neglecting the internet. God, it just seems like such a huge waste of time recently. i've been so busy these past weeks - AP art is FINALLY OVER. *SIGH OF RELIEF* but I still have one more thing coming up. Distinguished Scholars or something. that's gonne succk.

school is almost over, thank God, so I'll be able to post more over the summer. possibly more Miyazaki art. and that's when I'll have the contest.

i've got pictures to post, too. lots of em. mostly from the Seether/Flyleaf concert.

lesse, i guess that's it now. can't wait to come back to DA. -___-

So Ima give you all a date so you can tell me what you think - whether you'll have time or what:

How about by May 16th (Friday), which is in about 3 weeks, I'll give you all the information about my contest and about 3 or 4 weeks after that ~inu-anne-chan-33 and I shall judge the winners.

Does that sound oukay?

Quite a bit of stuff if happening for me in the next few weeks but when it's all over I'll give this contest my full attention. There are still things I need to go over with my judging-partner like prizes, theme (which is really vague atm), etc.

So yeah! Tell me if that's oukay for you guys~ because I can move it back some or whatever floats your boat. I can even start it during summer break if that's easier. Just lemme know what your thinking. I'm hoping more will join in so tell people. XP

Because the theme for this one will be so vague you're going to have to use a lot of creativity. :3 Ouuuh yay!

Mmkay. Cross your fingers for me - AP art is due in a week or so. x__x

I HAS PAINT ON MY FINGERS.

You guys like the new readable journal? It's temporary until I can actually make something pretty. Possibly. I'm busy with arts. ~___~;; I was gonna work on stuff for the contest but I'm a little stressed out with APAAART and I'm afraid to do anything not related to it. ALTHOUGH . . . I DID draw a Kaiba the other day. >___<; So shoot me. I wasted time with my fandom.

Pearl misses me. *beckons me from his cage* You know what? Yesterday, he dunked his whole head in his water bowl and when he came back up all the feathers on the top of his head were stuck up in a birdy-fohawk. It was so cute. 9___9;; I couldn't even straighten them out. I don't know how long he was like that. . . All I know is at about 9 last night, the power in my whole neighborhood went out for 2 miserable hours, and a I was trying to sleep/ waiting for the power to come back on . . and then I thought of Pearl's head. XD I was worried it was hurting him so I got my sister to come with me in my UBERLY SCARY, dark house to see if Pearl was oukay.

HE WAS FINE. >___>;;; His head was perfect. My sister was like, "He must have looked in the mirror and given himself a hill-billy-hairspray."

Me: XDDDD;;;???

So while I was trying to download music into my ZEN (XD) so I could finish some of these arts. . . RIGHT AT MID SONG . . . *RIP POWER*

*DARK*

Sister: "MOM DID THE POWER GO OUT?"

Me: *to self* "DUH!!"

*sits in chair and curls up into a ball until someone gets me*

*no one comes*

*I am scewed* Meanwhile I have all this crap on the floor that I have to try to avoid stepping on in the dark so I don't track paint and such through the house. If you guys don't know this already, I'm like. . . Blind. XD; Even with contacts. Me and the dark = Scary.

Birthday weekends are so hectic! x__x

I am now officially Seventeen. Wow. Thank GOD! XD No offence to Sixteen or anything. . . but it totally sucked. As Seventeen I shall get a job and a license and a kickass Otakon experience.

I have a bunch of pictures for you guys so I'll post them on a journal some timeee. Let's see, I REALLY need to get back into my fanart100 arts but. . . AP art is keeeeling meee. I'm afraid to do anything that's not related to it at the moment because my deadline is slowly creeping up on me. I'm afraid I'm not going to have enough by the time I need to send the slides in. SHEEEET. Maybe I'll post some work.

So! To sum up my birthday:

o My hair always was cute short
o I have a "Silent Hill: The Experience" PSP DVD for a PSP I don't even own. XD; The other week when I got Silent Hill 4, the guy working at GameStop gave it to me for free eeeeven though I didn't buy the new one. Probably cuz he was really down to earth and I'm not really a typical female gamer. XD "WORKIN' THE CHARM." - Kristine
o 'Sense and Sensibilty' on Masterpiece Theatre (PBS) Sunday.

This week is gonna be seriously busy. Thursday I have a research paper due. XP And Friday is my prom! Sunday is an art showing. And a whoooole bunch of stuff inbetween those, probably.

I SAW THE BODIES TODAY! At the body exhibit. The first thing I noticed.

Heeeeya~ More random updates. Birthdays are so exciting. To me atleast.

I know my views shall change when I am older.

For those of you who don't know, Shelley's (:devflutterby727's) bday is on April 7th.

((Your present is done!)) Ironic? We're twins. Almost. XD

It's been so cold here. . . not a whole lot like spring. -__-; I have a feeling the temperature is going to go from winter to summer again - skipping the inbetween. The cherry blossoms are probably all screwed up.

Contest ideas so far have been really good and insightful. My favorites are:
- Kaiba in horrible, embarrasing situations
- my character, Surii, and her fellow arm, Abbott, doing things that may not be so easy for them.

While these ARE extremely good ideas, as well as all the others, I want to try to include everyone in this contest- I have quite a few friends and watchers who aren't pencil/etc-artists. I mean, maybe someday I'll do a Kaiba-contest~ that is my dream~~~ 9_9 Right now I'm going to focus on something where each category of art is included.

Hmmm, the theme will have to be very, very diverese~ I'm not really sure what I could do that was diverse and fun at the same time. XD I'll contemplate it while I'm arting tonight.

You guys have any ideas?

Input if you like! I'm very open to everything, you know that.

Issss mah birthday countdown week. I can't wait to not be 16.

Thanks for all your input in my last journal! I think I used just about every suggestion, and they were all extremely helpful. I don't know what I'd do without you guys. :=]

Just stuff:

- My break is slowly coming to an end. *frown*

- My Utada CD/poster came in the mail the other day but I have to wait for my b-day! D: D: D: Temptations~

- "Shaunashitstarter".

- My AP art is slooowly coming along. SLOWLY. There's way too much pressure.

- Dedication-Zack/Aeris picture to =Cosnett is coming along but VERY SLOWLY ((Zack and Aeris forever! :3))

- I think I've become a bit more clumsier.

- I'm trying to decide whether I should cosplay at Otakon this year or if I should just go as myself. o__o;; If I were to cosplay, I'd make a new Heather Mason costume. Aaand possibly one of her more casual costumes as well. (I was also thinking Alice from RE the movie) We'll see.

- FINALLY found my prom dress *SIGHOFRELIEF*

- CONTEST may be coming soon after April 13~

YAAAH, gotta finish that AP stuff. AND I gotta make an outline for my research paper on Shakespeare. Hapeeeeee~~

PS. Should I change the layout of my journal? It's come to my attention that it's a little difficult for some of you to read the font. o_o It IS really light and all . . . I can definately make everything better if you'd like.
